Searching in Papers allows you to search a large number of different repositories, at once. Enter your search phrase, select which repositories you want to search in, and your results will appear from all these different sources. Conveniently within Papers.

Determining which repositories to use is important, and in search settings you can specify which ones are most suitable to you.

  • Click on Settings in the search window.

  • Select the repositories you would like to include in search from the list.

  • Checking the "Add this repository to my favorites" option after selecting any individual repository will mark that search engine as one of your favorites. This ultimately means that you can select only the "favorites" button to perform a search in all of your favorite search engines without selecting each individually.

  • For example, after selecting PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science as favorites, each one is automatically selected by only hitting "favorites" in search.
