How can I disable the Enhanced PDF Web Reader?

The ReadCube Web Reader provides fast loading of PDF articles plus extra features such as annotation tools and hyper-linked inline citations. On our publisher partner websites - such as Wiley - the ReadCube Web Reader will load as the default viewer when PDF links are clicked (on compatible web browsers). Standard PDF files can always be readily downloaded from the Web Reader by clicking on the "Download PDF" button in the toolbar.

If you do not want to use the Enhanced PDF features, you can turn the Web Reader off as the default viewer by visiting the following page:

ReadCube Web Reader Settings

Please note, you will need to re-select your preferred settings if your web browser cookies are cleared.

If you do not see the settings switch, your web browser is incompatible or has cookies/local storage disabled.
