How do I import papers into ReadCube Desktop?

You can import PDFs from your computer at any time by clicking on Import or simply drag and drop the PDFs straight into your library.

The first time you log in to ReadCube you will be taken to the Import screen; from here you can select the PDFs stored on your computer that you would like to import to ReadCube. You can click on the plus sign to expand and browse folders. You can select PDF files or whole folders that you wish to import by clicking on the box next to each. In addition, you can simply drag and drop files or folders into the import screen.


You can also import your library from another reference manager. 

Follow the appropriate instructions to export your former library and import into ReadCube. Please note that at this time - only the articles and lists can be imported. No annotations, tags and highlights from other solutions can be imported just yet.


 

No PDF library yet? No problem! You can also add papers to your ReadCube library by searching in PubMed or Google Scholar.

To do this click on Search, choose where you would like to search and carry out your search. Select a paper from the results list and download to your library by clicking Download Article.
