once you open a pdf on readcube, use the cite option on the right hand side. This will cite the publication as per your required style. Copy and paste it into Pages? Could this work?

Can someone from readcube respond to provide some thoughts on if or when SmartCite will be integrated for Pages.app?

Is there a workaround for now?

I agree. I arrived here by looking for the possibility of using SmartCite on Pages. Does someone know whether this will be introduced or not?

I love the interface. I believe there are many researchers who would love to have an interface between Apple Pages and SmartCite. It would appear that EndNote has a special "monopolistic" deal with Apple but maybe its because others haven't asked? I have sent many requests to Apple to allow support for third party citation managers but do not know if it has moved up the chain at all. Nevertheless, I hope you can achieve what others have been unable to accomplish.

It is totally not logical why a software free of charge like SmartCite only support the expensive word processor like MS Word, which is not even the most popular word processor among researchers at all.

Lot of people are using Pages (or iWork in general), it could be very useful to have a Readcube-plugin for Pages like the one for Microsoft Word.

Pages support would be amazing. Assuming everybody works in Microsoft Word is quite strange, as it is a slow and awful behemoth to work with, compared to Pages.
